Main Events’ Kathy Duva, Judah’s promoter, agreed to a 55-45 in favor of Khan. There was disagreement in the location as Duva wanted the fight to take place in Atlantic City, NJ, but at the end, Sin City was the place to be, Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas to be exact. The bout will be televised on HBO.
Amir Khan (25-1, 17 KO) last fought on April 16, dominating Paul McCloskey en route to a six-round technical decision in Manchester. That fight went through a lot of turmoil, including being kicked off of Sky Box Office and then off of Sky Sports altogether in the United Kingdom, while it aired on tape delay in the United States on HBO.
Zeb Judah (41-6, 28 KO) was last seen on March 5 in New Jersey, where he beat Kaizer Mabuza to win the vacant IBF belt. The fight was televised by Integrated Sports PPV and wasn’t widely-seen, but Judah’s name value and fanbase is still there, even if his skills have diminished.
